In the beautiful downtown area of Colorado Springs, I was able to capture the moments as Julie and David became husband and wife on a snow-filled day in March. The couple met outside for a first look and some portraits before saying “I do” in the restored courthouse portion of the venue. David wore the traditional Scottish kilt with his family tartan and Julie wore her fine lace gown and tartan to match her groom. The antique craftsmanship of the Pioneer Museum allowed us to create unique and beautiful indoor images, as the weather outside intensified.
After the ceremony, we slipped outside for some photos in the snow. Although the cold and driving conditions weren’t ideal, the weather allowed us to create some amazing images that the couple will get to keep forever.
From a Scottish linage, David dresses in his tradition tartan kilt.
Getting dressed in her elegant white lace wedding dress, Julie is surrounded with wonderful helpers to attach her traditional Scottish train to match David.
Whispering sweet words on the stairs was a great distracter from the chilly air that surrounded Julie and David.
With chilled noses almost touching Julie can’t help, but smile in the warm embrace of her loving David.
While Julie was trying her best to get his attention, David was busy trying his hardest to not to succumb to his beautiful brides teasing kisses.
With traditional Scottish apparel the wedding would not be complete without a bagpipe for the ceremony.
With the dramatic light and intricate ionic columns created a captivating portrait of Julie in her wedding dress.
