I’m pleased to share this gorgeous snowy wedding at the Sanctuary Golf Course.
Brooke and Josh were married in late April, right after one of Colorado’s Spring snowstorms (which can happen all the way into May). The snow only added to the Sanctuary’s elegant scenery and unparalleled view. The chillier weather meant that we captured a few more photos in the stone hallway next to the front entrance, including a very special first look.
After an outdoor ceremony in the covered pavilion, we captured outdoor photos. Then, these two dined and danced the night away in front of the fireplace in the elegant Sanctuary Clubhouse.
Brooke and Josh met online, with their first date to dinner and a concert.
“My favorite date with Josh was right after he proposed to me at Maroon Bells. He took us to an amazing Steakhouse in Aspen where we could celebrate together, just the two of us. We also indulged in what I think was the best meal of our lives!”
“Josh proposed during a weekend getaway to Aspen. We had already planned to go for my birthday. While “looking for wildlife” at Maroon Bells, Josh got down on one knee and said, “I think you’ve been looking for one of these?!” I was actually surprised because he had done everything in his power to throw me off his trail in the weeks leading up to that day.”
“One favorite memory that I have with Josh was when he tried to help my young niece figure out how to use a hammock. Wanting to be independent, she told Josh as nicely as she could, “maybe you should go finish your snack.” It was hysterical, but also endearing that he was trying to help her. An intense memory with Josh would include the time we had a bear approach our campsite in the dark. Josh finally scared it off by throwing a log in it’s direction to avert a bad situation. It was a once-in-a-lifetime encounter (hopefully).”
