Nick and Julie chose to have their engagement session at Red Rock Canyon Open Space because they love the outdoor hiking lifestyle and the natural beauty of Colorado.  As we walked between photos, Julie even wondered out load whether she’d be allow to explore this trail on horseback.  She’s an equestrian lover, as well as an outdoor aficionado.  Red Rock Open Space was just what they wanted with a little bit of red rock, a beautiful view of the rocky mountains, and sun lit fields.  The day of their engagement session ended up being super windy, so you’ll notice Julie’s hair blowing in the wind.  She managed it like a pro and was a very good sport in real life, especially since this session happened in February!  (Chilly!)

From this session, my personal favorites are the shots where the sun is backlighting the field and the ones of them laying in the grass at the end of the shoot.  Not sure why, but the shots lying in the grass are always some of my favorites.
