Genevieve + Steven’s Palmer Park Engagement Session | Colorado Springs Engagement Photographer
Genevieve (pronounced the french way!) and Steven chose to have their engagement session at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs. When I arrived to check out the location, I was over the moon to see a field of sunflowers growing wild. Colorado continues to amaze me with its beauty! Something photo-worthy around every corner!
I asked Genevieve to tell me a little bit about Steven, and here’s what she had to say:
“Steven and I actually met online and I was really apprehensive to meet him in person, but I did anyways. He came and picked me up and I remember immediately being attracted to him. He opened the door for me, and still does, and we went and grabbed some coffee. The conversation was great and the time passed quickly. We made plans for another date the next day, and it took off from there!”
“The most attractive thing about Steven is his drive to accomplish things and the way he smiles at me when I horribly sing in the car!”
“We have so many amazing memories. One night Steven made a bed on the floor with pillows and all, had a movie ready to go, and had a bottle of wine ready, it was simple but showed how much he cares.”
“As a school teacher it gets crazy in the beginning of the school year. I had let the house get messy and I came home from my first day with students to all the dishes done and put away, the living room all cleaned up, the trash out, and dinner ready. It was amazing!”
“Steven loves doing sweet things here and there. I’d say the sweetest thing he does for me is always going to do things with my family. It means so much that he puts in the effort to have a great relationship with my mom and dad since I am so close to them.”
“I respect that Steven has goals he wants to accomplish. He puts his all into everything his does, it really is inspiring to see his drive.”
“I am the lucky one in this relationship because Steven supports every dream I have and believes in them. He is incredibly patient with me, he makes me laugh every single day, he is romantic, sensitive, and above all he is my best friend that makes me smile. I am a better person with him by my side.”
I asked Steven to tell me a little bit about Genevieve, and here’s what he had to say:
“For my birthday Genevieve planned an entire weekend in Denver. It was amazing! She knew I wanted to see a Rockies game so she got tickets for a game (she wasn’t aware the tickets she got were in foul ball territory, which I loved but her-not so much). We spent quality time together and enjoyed being with one another over that weekend.”
“The most beautiful thing about Genevieve is her intelligence and determination. She is very smart and knows what she wants out of life, it is so beautiful. She also has the most gorgeous blue eyes and smile that takes my breath away.”
“I had been gone back home to see family and when I got back she had left notes around the house for me. Every now and then she leaves little notes and it means the world to get them.”
“The nicest thing she has ever done for me is support me no matter what. And she continues to do that everyday.”
“I knew she was the one when we took the trip to Denver together.”
“My favorite memory with Genevieve is when we got engaged. We were just hanging out on the porch at sunset looking over the golf course. Looking at her in that moment, before she knew what was coming, was beautiful.”
“I am the lucky one because I found a woman who loves me, challenges me, and motivates me to be a better man everyday.”
