This morning, I’m excited to share Jasmine + Jacob’s Hillside Gardens Wedding in Colorado Springs. It’s full of greenery and finely considered details. I especially love the ceremony aisle signs, which are destined to hang in their home from here on out. The day of the wedding, it threatened to storm, but once again we were very lucky with our timeline. The minute we wrapped up bride and groom portraits and ducked into the reception, the rain let loose and thoroughly soaked the whole garden.

I asked Jasmine to tell me a little bit about Jacob, and here’s what she had to say:

“We met in a sociology class in college. He walked into class and I immediately felt a connection to him.”

“One of the first things I learned about him was that he is such a hard worker. He was working several jobs to put himself through college. While it limited my time with him, I loved that about him.”

“One day he FINALLY asked me to go to lunch with him after class. It was the best Subway sandwich I’d ever had.”

“The most attractive thing about my fiance is his intelligence. Sometimes he’s too smart for his own good. Also his eyes. They are the perfect shade of hazel.”

“I was so surprised during his proposal! We were celebrating our four year anniversary, and he took me for a walk at Garden of the Gods. Around the corner was a photographer waiting to capture our moment.”

“One of my favorite memories with Jacob is when he first told me he loved me. We had been dating for five months and he wrote me a card. Another one of my favorite memories was when he introduced me to an art studio he had a few years ago. Jacob is an amazing artist, and it was really fascinating for me to see that side of him.”

“Jacob isn’t one for surprises, but once in a while he pulls one off. Just this Valentines day, I came home from work and he had cleaned everything and cooked a lobster dinner for me.”

“One of Jacob’s quirks is that he constantly is moving his toes. I’m not sure what it is but I’m pretty sure his toes don’t ever stop moving. It’s cute I think.”

“Jacob cleans my car for me. I love that ;)”

“I respect that everything he does is with good intention. I often stress about my job or just life in general. He taught me that if I go through life with good intention, then I’m doing alright. I tell myself that everyday.”

“I admire Jacob’s loyalty. I have never questioned his loyalty to me.”

“Jacob impresses me every time anything needs fixing. Once I was at a hair appointment and got a flat tire. He came and changed it out. By the time my hair appointment was finished, I had a brand new tire waiting for me. He is amazing.”

“I am excited to marry Jacob because we have common goals. I can’t wait to do LIFE with him. We make a great team.”

“I work long twelve hour shifts as a nurse. I’m the lucky one in this relationship because occasionally, he surprises me with my favorite drink from Starbucks right when I need one. He always makes sure I’m taken care of.”

I asked Jacob to tell me a little bit about Jasmine, and here’s what he had to say:

Jacob says the first time he saw her “I was curious about her.”

Getting to know her for the first time, “She was super cool. She was adventurous and fun to be around. I wanted to spend everyday with her. I used to text her, ‘Hey, what are we doing today?'”

On their first date “I was nervous that day to ask her to lunch. I waited outside of our classroom and we later went to Subway.”

“My favorite date was when I told her I loved her.”

When asked what the most beautiful thing about Jasmine is, he said: “That’s tough. The most beautiful thing about my fiance is that she is so sweet.”

“One of my favorite memories is when we went to Pagosa hot springs to celebrate an anniversary. Another favorite memory is when we moved to Castle Rock together.”

“Jasmine brought me to see tosh.show for our five year anniversary. She also surprised me on my 24th birthday by gathering all of my best friends for a surprise dinner.”

“My favorite quirk of hers is when she sighs right after she laughs. I also love when she randomly walks the wrong direction because her sense of direction is horrible. Also, every time we try something new, its her ‘new favorite thing.'”

He says the nicest thing she’s ever done for him is, “Love me.” “I respect her honesty and her drive in life.” “I admire her assertive, strict, and annoying type A personality.”“I knew she was the one when she wasn’t out to impress everyone. She cares about the people close to her.” “I am most excited to marry her because I want to start this new chapter with her.” “I’m the lucky one because she puts up with me.
