Frances + Brian’s Falls Event Center Wedding | Littleton Colorado Wedding Photographer

Frances + Brian were married at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado.  Before heading to the church, they prepped at the Falls Event Center, a fairly new wedding venue in the Denver area.

One of my favorite things about this wedding collection is the way the bride’s hair, makeup, cathedral veil, and wedding dress came together.  She looked classic, elegant, and traditional for her formal ceremony.  Then, when the time came for the reception, she removed the lace bodice, decorative belt, and long veil for a more modern reception look.

Between the church and reception, we stopped off at Jackass Hill Park (yes, that’s the real name of the park) for a few natural, outdoor photos.  Then, headed back to the Falls Event Center for the party.  It was a beautiful day!  Congratulations, you guys!

Enjoy!

I asked Frances to tell me a little bit about Brian, and here’s what she had to say:

“We met through my college roommate. Her family is good family friends with Brian’s family.” “We met up at a K-State football game with a bunch of mutual friends and Brian didn’t say a word to me the whole game! He was so nervous! I remember leaving that weekend thinking nothing was going to happen between us until Traci and I were driving down I-70 and Brian texted me saying that he had a great weekend with me! Needless to say, I accidentally screamed really loud when I saw his name pop up on my phone :)”“My favorite date with Brian was when went to the state park near my college in Weston, Missouri.”“The most attractive thing about Brian is that he makes me feel loved every single day!”“Our proposal was the best because it was 100% Brian’s idea. He shut out all the ideas he received from friends and family and went with his heart on this one. Brian proposed to me on Thanksgiving morning in the middle of a beautiful Kansas pasture. I was definitely surprised! If you saw a picture of the proposal you would know that I wasn’t expecting it to happen because I had no make up on and I was in jeans and a sweatshirt :)” “One of my favorite memories is when Brian took me home to his family farm for the first time! I loved meeting his family and I instantly fell in love with them! We love to road trip, so anytime I get to sit next to Brian in the car for many hours always makes for a good memory. We love singing our country music and always have great conversation.”“All of the love letters Brian has written have always been surprises! He is an amazing writer and always speaks from the heart!”“Well considering that Brian makes me laugh all the time, he has tons of quirks that I really love. Even though I may not admit it, I love that he can quote movies better than anyone I know! It always makes for funny conversations!”“Brian is always willing to be my hiking and walking companion even when he doesn’t feel like going! He will always go with me, because he knows how much it means to me.”“I respect Brian’s ability to love and serve those around him. Brian is always serving me in ways that I don’t always see, and he does it with a happy heart.” Frances admires Brian for, “His loyalty to everyone and everything he does.”“Brian impressed me when he wrote me the sweetest love letter in college telling me that he loved me for the first time.” “I am most excited to marry Brian because he truly is my best friend. We share a lot of the same goals and aspirations, and we enjoy doing everything together. I am also excited to start a family with Brian because I know he will be the best dad, and he will be a great example to our kids on how you should treat a woman and be the best husband.” “I am the lucky one in the relationship because I have a lifelong partner who will wake up everyday and choose to love and support me. Brian is a true gift from God!” I asked Brian to tell me a little bit about Frances, and here’s what he had to say:

The first time he saw her: “We were at one of my favorite places on earth. Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Ks. We talked on the phone before we actually met in person because she couldn’t find her way to our seats. She finally made it inside and we had a blast!”“We started texting a lot after our original weekend meeting. We talked about everything imaginable. What stands out to me is that I remember being extremely surprised and excited when she told me she loved the idea of living on a farm. I couldn’t get enough.” “I’m not sure if this counts as our first date or not, but Frances and our friend, Traci, came to surprise us for a weekend in Manhattan. We stayed up all Saturday night watching movies and cuddling on the couch. It was great!” His favorite date, “Has to be our *most recent* first date in Kansas City. This was about a month after I had written her a letter proclaiming my love. I was pretty nervous because…..well why wouldn’t I be! Luckily the date went well, and we had plenty more after that. We ate dinner with some friends and went for drinks after. Pretty simple, but so special because it marked the beginning of our lives together.” The most beautiful thing about Frances is “Her faith in God and how she would read prayers from a prayer book over the phone when we were in college.” “It was Fran’s first weekend of her spring break, and she came to Manhattan before making her drive home. We had a few friends over, drank some margs and sat in our lawn chairs in my driveway and just talked about life. Frances surprised Brian, “When she gave me another chance after blowing it with her two previous times. Forever Grateful for that.” Brian really loves “The way she talks to her dog like it can actually understand what she’s saying…”“For our first Valentine’s Day together she drew me a picture of my favorite artist, Eric Church, with tiny lyrics written all around and she put it in a wood frame. I still have that picture and hope to always have it.” “How she has handled planning our wedding has been awesome. We are coming down to the wire now and the stress is mounting. But she is handling it like a pro.” Brian admires “How she matches me in sarcasm regularly.”“This is not a joke. When she started dating somebody else from my college and she came to Manhattan to visit him, she stayed at my house. The moment she walked in my heart skipped a beat.”  That’s when he knew she was the one. He’s most excited to marry her because “I get to spend the rest of my life with a woman of strong faith who holds the same values I hold. She knows all my likes and dislikes, what makes me tick, what makes me happy. I can’t wait to see her be a mom to our kids.”Brian says he’s the lucky one in this relationship because “Well…considering we dated, I broke up with her. I started talking to her again, I ended that. I said nothing when she started dating someone in our friend group until I thought it was too late…..yeah I’d say I’m hands down the lucky one here.”
