Steph said that she saw this dress online and knew it was the one. A friend told her that she had to at least try it on. She went into the store, put on the dress, and immediately knew that she didn’t need to try on anything else.  She said “yes” to the dress right there and then.  Easiest bride ever!

For getting ready, Steph and Marc rented a VRBO in Black Forest, which also doubled as a place to house their out of town guests.

We did the first look out in the pines behind the VRBO.  These two were so excited to see each other!
For the ceremony, we traveled to the Lodge at Cathedral Pines, a small venue in the woods of Black Forest.  It provided exactly the relaxed, intimate vibe these two wanted for their wedding.As part of the ceremony, the bride and groom both watered this pine tree, which they’re going to plant in their yard as a symbol of their growing marriage.I asked Steph to tell me a little bit about Marc, and here’s what she had to say:
“One of the sweetest things he does is cooks for me! He is an awesome cook so I’ve definitely been spoiled. He knows all my favorites so whenever I’m feeling down he knows just what to whip up!”A quirk of Marc’s that she really loves is, “He is obsessed with getting foot rubs. He begs for foot rubs almost nightly!!” “The most attractive thing about Marc is how much family means to him. He has a great relationship with his family and has also built a strong connection with mine.”“By far my favorite memory was when we got engaged. It was a complete surprise. We were in Crested Butte with my family for the weekend, and he popped the question right in front of Mt. Crested Butte. I thought my brother was taking a picture of us but he was secretly recording. We went back to where we were staying and celebrated the night away with my parents, brother and his girlfriend. Once it was dark we all wrote a message on a lantern and set it off..it went straight for the peak of Mt. Crested Butte. It was such a special day for all of us.” Steph told me that she’s a beer drinker.  When it came to planning the wedding, she thought about having something fancier, but it didn’t feel quite right.  Instead, they stuck with the beer.“I’m most excited to marry Marc so we can start a new chapter as husband and wife. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us, make new memories with him and eventually start a family. He is going to be such a great dad!” I asked Marc to tell me a little bit about Steph, and here’s what he had to say: One of Steph’s quirks that he really loves is how: “Sometimes when she’s laying down she rubs her feet together.  it’s awfully cute :)” Steph loves to go without shoes.  If you look back at their engagement session, you’ll see that she’s completely shoeless there.  For the bride and groom portraits, she ditched the shoes and went barefoot. His favorite date is, “Probably our first Valentine’s Day together.  I remember picking her up for dinner, but first we took a walk around a lake near her parents house.  The ground was covered in snow and little did she know that prior to picking her up I stopped there to strategically place a “message in a bottle” I had made for her with a personalized note inside.  Pretended like I saw something near the water and there it was.  We had a great dinner and Vesta Dipping Grill and later that night actually gave her her first ring, a promise ring.” He knew she was the one “The night after first meeting her.  Her and a bunch of our friends spent the night at my place after the concert at Casselman’s, and I covered her with a blanket on my couch.” He says he’s most excited to marry Steph, ” To begin the next step….start a family.”
